About The Roy Newman Family
I started researching my family tree about two years ago and have concentrated on Newman, Crooks and Wensley. The Jones has been to difficult to identify, so I have left them for the time being. The furthest that I have gone is Joseph Newman, born in 1737 and the last person to die was Walter Newman, my Dad, in 2007. I am still in the process of transferring the basic data onto the site. I will then add documents and other information about some of the individuals.

I come from a long line of Newmans from the East End of London. My grandfather, Joseph Newman, was a Freeman of the City of London, as was his father, Samuel, his grandfather, another Samuel and great grandfather Joseph. My great, great, great, great Grandfather, another Joseph Newman was a lawyer in Mile End.
